Election generated aspirations for prosperity, Oli says
Bhaktapur, Dec 14 (RSS): CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said the upcoming government would work with due priority to ensure employment with decent payment in the country.
Receiving a memorandum submitted by a team led by the former President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) at his residence on Thursday, Chairman Oli said that the youth should not toil hard in the gulf countries if employment opportunities were generated in the country.
Each political change brings new hopes on people, he said, adding that this time’s election also brought the aspirations for development and prosperity.
Stating that corruption has gone up in the country in the name of privatization after the 2046 BS, Oli said 38 industries were sold out during the Nepali Congress-led government in the name of privatization and liberalization which forced millions of youths to leave for gulf nations for lack of employment at home.
“The task of government is to collect tax from the business sector by creating investment-friendly environment. The upcoming government is ready to join hands together with the private sector for the nation building,” Oli said.
The private sector can play the role of motivator for development and prosperity and the government would facilitate by making compatible policies for the same, the UML Chairman said.
Former Presidents of FNCCI Maheshlal Pradhan, Padma Jyoti, Rabi Bhakta Shrestha, Binod Bahadur Shrestha, Kush Kumar Joshi, Suraj Vaidhya and Bhaskarraj Rajkarnikar have signed in the memorandum, praising the role of Oli played in the capacity of opposition leader.
